1. Wash your hands with soap/water.

2. When ready to use, tear small center metal seal off vial.

3. Gently sanitize with one swipe over vial opening with alcohol pad. Allow to dry.

4. Pull plunger of syringe down to your dose line.

5. Inject that amount of air into vial. Turn vial upside down and slowly withdraw your dose.

6. Make sure there is no air in your syringe –only liquid.

7. Sanitize the injection site as directed by your Provider with alcohol pad. Allow to dry.

8. Inject dose into site as directed by your Provider. Slowly push plunger. Do not inject into the same exact spot each week.

9. Once dose is completely injected, remove needle. If blood appears, press lightly with gauze.

10. Discard the syringe/needle as this is a single use only.

11. Place medication vial back into the refrigerator.

Discard after BUD occurs (beyond use date). Do not use this medication if you see particles in the vial. The solution should appear red in color. This is due to the vitamin B12. Never use medication after it expires (after the BUD). Call the Pharmacy or your Provider if you have questions.
